Business Development Executive
Since 2014, Morressier has been helping a growing number of scientific and academic societies and publishers harness the power and scalability of the digital world to make scientific research more accessible. We facilitate the connecting of the thinkers and the curious, the inquisitive amongst us, to discover, absorb and collaborate on research. We enable research across our platform from peer review workflows, virtual and hybrid conferencing, research libraries and integrity checks.
We are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join our growth team. Working with the sales leadership team, you’ll be responsible for helping us develop relationships with some of the world's leading scientific societies, institutions and life science businesses.
This is a hands-on position with the primary objective to lead on lead generation, pipeline development and driving the initial sales process. We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who is able to work autonomously with ambition to grow and develop.
Responsibilities:
Being responsible for ensuring a continuous flow of discovery meetings for our sales leadership
Proactively developing outbound strategies, working in conjunction with Marketing on campaigns
The ability to work autonomously without supervision to develop a healthy pipeline of prospects
Using your communication skills and experience to develop and deliver amazing verbal and written sales outreaches / collateral
Network through our business and clients to understand the daily value we’re adding to our partners to inform sales messages

Requirements:
Experience of working within a similar sales or business development role
Experience in a startup or scaleup is advantageous
Motivated by exceeding targets
Understand how to build, cultivate and convert a sales funnel
You’re exceptional at building relationships internally and externally, especially with sales and marketing teams.
Ability to work without daily monitoring & autonomously
The ability to prospect across EU, UK & US time zones when required
